When the casting/research engineer is put with a tight tolerance in properties. It is necessary to test the accurate specimen. Notches are especially critical in determining the toughness for fracture. Close tolerance and fine surface finish in 'V' and 'U' notches to give correct value during charpy or izod test.
SGS-10 series-broaching machine can give significantly faster and accurate finishing to the specimen. The machine will broach a notch in 10mm specimen to the Indian/International Standards.
